5 Best Photo Blogs

As much as podcasts and YouTube are the trending platforms right now for photographers it doesn’t mean that blogs are dead – far from it.

Blogs offer a different audience a different way to learn. Not everyone (even photographers) learns through visual mediums, some prefer to read and digest more slowly.

Therefore I’ve put together a collection of my 5 favourite (and helpful) photography blogs that I think you’ll love to discover.

1. iPhotography

iPhotography is a training community for new photographers. They produce brilliant and nice-looking blogs every week on a range of different topics. From discussions about ‘What your Camera Dial means’ to blogs about ‘How to Price your Photography’ – it’s all there!

2. PetaPixel

Established in May 2009, PetaPixel is a leading publication covering the wonderful world of photography. We love photography, and we want to see others love it too. Our goal is to inform, educate, and inspire in all things photography-related.

3. Feature Shoot

Feature Shoot showcases the work of international emerging and established photographers who are transforming the medium through compelling, cutting-edge projects. With contributing writers from all over the world and a wide range of interests, we feature contemporary work in all genres of photography: fine art, documentary, portrait, still life, landscape and more.

4. Fstoppers

Fstoppers is an online community aimed at educating and inspiring photographers, videographers, and creative professionals.  Started in 2010 by founders Patrick Hall and Lee Morris, Fstoppers has grown into one of the top resources for photography lighting, gear reviews, business tips, behind-the-scenes, and industry news.

5. DP Review

Digital Photography Review’s mission is to provide the most authoritative coverage of digital photography gear in the world, including news, articles and expert reviews. We have built the most comprehensive database of consumer digital cameras on the Internet, and we provide an open, active forum and useful tools for our community.
