I never saw myself as a portrait photographer. I first picked up a camera at 17 and now over 23 years later, I can’t stop photographing people. My love for capturing people comes from my passion for movies. A good story is propelled by emotion, expression, action, and lighting. I believe that all of this can be captured in a photo.

But it’s not head shots I’m here for. Anyone can do that. I much prefer to design something that not only tells a story but also represents me. Any good photograph should contain fragments of the photographer I think. What do these say about me?
My creative portrait sessions are very low-key and don’t involve a team behind the scenes. It’s just normally me and the model. I work with friends and local models to create what you see. All that’s needed is a little brief, a good location, and the right weather – and failing that, a good sense of adaption. After all, there’s no such thing as ‘bad light’ just an inflexible photographer.
