I love playing around in Photoshop as you know, but being able to sit through hour-long tutorials is not something I know many others enjoy, more like endure. Speed art is a brief way to gloss over the technical details and see the artwork being created in hyper-speed.

It’s ideal if you’re not a big fan of knowing HOW things are designed technically speaking but more someone who enjoys seeing the final result come together with simple understanding.

I must say it’s a great way to find new audiences, followers and network with other artists by creating speed art videos for Instagram and TikTok.

You can decide after recording your tutorial to keep a full-length version for the future, but then edit a speed art edition for the socials.

I’ve been creating a number of free speed art videos and putting them on reels and TikTok lately. They’re also on YouTube if you want to check them out – its a nice way of adding some video content as everything else I do is for stills.
